Blogs in this series

Life in Culebrón is a very British view of life in a small village in Alicante province, my experience of Spain, of Spaniards and sometimes of the other Britons who live nearby. The tabs beneath the header photo link to other blogs written whilst I was living in other parts of Spain, to my articles written for the now defunct TIM magazine and to my most recent photo albums.

Odd that

Maggie says she went to Middlesborough once and it wasn't very nice. She likes Seville though.

There is a fair bit of history between London teams and Northern teams. Even I remember a season when it was Liverpool all the way until Arsenal took everything home. Wasn't there a film about that season?

So, in a sort of natural way our symapthies have been with Villa Real and Sevilla and no doubt will be with Barcelona in a few days. Is it just because Middlesborough is a bit smelly, is it that passing interest in some no hope English tennis player getting past the first couple of rounds at Wimbledon (but in reverse) or is there something more subtle going on?

I was looking at a website the other day and this song came on in the background. It's very tiddly pom but I rather like it. Spanish radio is full of tiddly pom music.
