Maggie's take

I just told Maggie the story about the King and the hearing aid shop. She wondered if the shop assistant would take the call from her mother and leave the King waiting just like they do every other customer.

A little about us and Culebrón

Chris Thompson: In 2004, Maggie and I left Cambridgeshire, England, for Spain. We settled in Culebrón, a small village near Pinoso in Alicante, which is part of the Comunitat Valenciana. At the start of 2005, we bought a house in Culebrón. To make a living, we had to move around quite a bit. Over the years, we've lived in Santa Pola, Ciudad Rodrigo, Cartagena, and La Unión. Now, I'm retired, but Maggie is still working. Our moves inspired several blogs: Life in Culebrón, Life in Cartagena, Life in La Unión, and Life in Ciudad Rodrigo. Although some are inactive now, they capture our experiences. I also wrote articles for the now-defunct TIM magazine, which are available online as the TIM articles. We enjoy exploring and sharing our adventures through blog entries and photos. While the photos often go unnoticed, each post links to albums filled with our journeys. As an old Brit, my view on Spanish life is influenced by my upbringing in the UK, but I hope you'll find something enjoyable in our stories!
