Monte Sal
Monte Sal, Salt Mountain, is one of the highest hills in and around Pinoso. Apparently someone pumps fresh water down into the ground where it dissolves the rock salt. They then pump the brine out of the ground and send it, via a pipeline, to the coastal town of Torrevieja for procesing. The picture shows one of the well heads.
